Tashkent, March 29th—Liu Jianchao, Minister of the International Department of the CPC Central Committee, met here today with Aktam Akhmadovich Khaitov, Chairman of the Movement of Entrepreneurs and Businessmen – Liberal Democratic Party of Uzbekistan (UzLiDeP).
Liu said, China and Uzbekistan are good partners of mutual benefit and win-win results, good friends sharing weal and woe, and good brothers standing together through thick and thin. The ancient Silk Road and the Silk Road Economic Belt today have closely linked the two peoples. In recent years, under the personal care and guidance of the two heads of state, China-Uzbekistan relations have reached a new height in history, evolving into an all-weather comprehensive strategic partnership in the new era. Currently, China is further deepening reforms across the board, and expand high-level opening up. China stands ready to work together with Uzbekistan to strengthen the alignment of development strategies, deepen cooperation in various areas, and support each other’s modernization causes, so as to bring greater benefits to our two nations and peoples. China firmly supports Uzbekistan in pursuing a development path suited to its national conditions and resolutely opposes any external interference in Uzbekistan’s internal affairs under any pretext. China appreciates Uzbekistan’s steadfast support for China on issues concerning Taiwan, Xinjiang, Xizang, Hong Kong, human rights, etc.
Liu said, the CPC and the UzLiDeP should implement the consensus reached by the two heads of state, share the ideas of party building and state governance, promote bilateral practical cooperation, and safeguard regional security and development. The CPC is willing to, together with the UzLiDeP, take the signing of the memorandum of exchanges and cooperation between the two Parties as an opportunity to strengthen friendly exchanges at all levels, deepen exchanges of experience in state governance and administration, continuously consolidate political and strategic mutual trust, boost cooperation between the two countries in economy, trade, science and technology, and culture, and enrich the connotation of the high-level relationship between China and Uzbekistan. Facing the turbulent and changing world, China is willing to strengthen coordination and cooperation with Uzbekistan under multilateral frameworks such as the United Nations, the Shanghai Cooperation Organization, and the China-Central Asia mechanism, advance the process of regional integration, implement the three major global initiatives, work together to cope with global challenges, and jointly promote global and regional peace, security and prosperity.
Khaitov said, China is Uzbekistan's close neighbor and important cooperation partner. Uzbekistan is sincerely happy for China's great development achievements in various fields. Developing friendly cooperation with China is a priority of Uzbekistan's foreign policy in the past, present and future. The UzLiDeP cherishes its friendship with the CPC. The two Parties' efforts in strengthening dialogue and cooperation between are of great significance to the development of relations between the two countries. The signing of the memorandum of exchanges and cooperation will open up a new chapter in the exchanges between the two Parties. The UzLiDeP is willing to work with the CPC to implement the consensus reached by the heads of state of the two countries, and in accordance with the spirit of the memorandum, further strengthen institutionalized exchanges and political dialogues, deepen exchanges and mutual learning of party building and state governance experiences and docking of development strategies, expand cooperation between the two Parties in youth, women, think tanks, local areas, etc., enhance the ties between the two peoples and people's well-being, and better promote the development of relations between the two countries and regional peace, stability and prosperity.
After the meeting, Liu and Khaitov jointly signed the memorandum of exchanges and cooperation between the CPC and the UzLiDeP.
Yu Jun, Chinese Ambassador to Uzbekistan, deputy chairpersons of the UzLiDeP, including Bakhtiyor Sultonnazirovich Yakubov, Shoumarov Dilshod Shavkatovich, Aslonov Abdullo Ubaydulloyevich, Xudoyarova Gulshana Berdinazarovna, and Meliboyev Jamoliddin Abdisalimovich, were present.
