Beijing, November 5th—Liu Haixing, Minister of the International Department of the CPC Central Committee (IDCPC), met here today with Somphone Sichaleune, Lao Ambassador to China, and briefed Somphone Sichaleune on the spirit of the fourth plenary session of the 20th CPC Central Committee.

Liu said, the just concluded fourth plenary session of the 20th CPC Central Committee adopted the Recommendations of the Central Committee of the Communist Party of China (CPC) for Formulating the 15th Five-Year Plan for National Economic and Social Development, providing the top-level design and strategic planning for China's economic and social development in the next five years. China will unswervingly promote high-quality economic and social development, expand high-level opening up, and be committed to sharing development opportunities with all countries. China is willing to work with Laos to follow the important consensus reached by the top leaders of the two Parties and the two countries, take the implementation of the new five-year action plan on building a China-Laos community with a shared future as the main line, strengthen inter-party exchanges, carry out practical cooperation, and promote the steady and long-term development of the China-Laos community with a shared future.
Somphone Sichaleune said, Laos warmly congratulates on the successful convening of the fourth plenary session of the 20th CPC Central Committee. It is believed that this plenary session is of great significance to China's economic and social development and socialist modernization in the next five years, and will bring new and important opportunities to all countries, including Laos. Laos is willing to work with China to implement the important consensus reached by the top leaders of the two Parties and the two countries, implement the new five-year action plan on building a Laos-China community with a shared future, strengthen exchanges at all levels, deepen experience exchanges in party building and state governance, and promote the continuous development of Laos-China relations.
