Sochi, November 14th—Liu Haixing, Minister of the International Department of the CPC Central Committee, met here today with Dmitry Medvedev, Chairman of the United Russia Party.

Liu said, under the strategic guidance of President Xi Jinping and President Vladimir Putin, China-Russia relationship has entered the best period in history. With the richest strategic substance, it is the most stable and mature set of major-country relations. Currently, the all-round exchanges between the ruling parties of China and Russia are maturing, the multi-level exchange mechanisms are constantly improving, and the strategic cooperative relationship is becoming more solid. The CPC is willing to work with the United Russia Party to enrich the content of dialogue between the two Parties, make the strategic communication more effective, and build the dialogue mechanism between the ruling parties of China and Russia into a special channel and important platform for implementing the important consensus of the leaders of the two Parties and countries and advancing the China-Russia comprehensive strategic partnership of coordination in the new era. He called on the two Parties to create a new "political party+" platform for pragmatic cooperation, promote the alignment of the Belt and Road Initiative and the Eurasian Economic Union, continuously enrich the content of practical cooperation between China and Russia; strengthen coordination and cooperation on multilateral stages, consolidate the global partnership network for political parties, and contribute wisdom and strength of political parties to building a community with a shared future for mankind. Liu also introduced the spirit and main achievements of the fourth plenary session of the 20th CPC Central Committee. 

Medvedev said, recently, high-level interactions between Russia and China have been frequent. President Vladimir Putin and President Xi Jinping exchanged visits this year. And this year also witnessed the practical and efficient meetings between the Russian Prime Minister and the Chinese Premier, as well as the steady progress of cooperation on major projects. The ruling parties of both countries have maintained communication and dialogue, and have promoted new progress in exchanges between party schools and among youth. All of these have offered new impetus to relations between the two countries and Parties. The Russia-China comprehensive strategic partnership of coordination in the new era is also a key factor in maintaining international peace and stability. Medvedev also spoke highly of the fourth plenary session of the 20th CPC Central Committee and the Recommendations of the Central Committee of the Communist Party of China (CPC) for Formulating the 15th Five-Year Plan for National Economic and Social Development. He believed that Chinese modernization will exert a significant impact on the world and is also very important to Russia as a partner of China. 

Both sides also exchanged views on international and regional issues of common concern. 

Officials from relevant Chinese departments, along with Vladimir Yakushev, Secretary of the General Council of the United Russia Party, Andrey Klimov, Member of the Presidium of the Supreme Committee of United Russia Party, Andrey Denisov, First Deputy Chair of Russia's Federation Council Committee on Foreign Affairs, Evgeniy Ivanov, Deputy Minister of Foreign Affairs of Russia, and others were present.
