Beijing, March 26th—Liu Haixing, Minister of the International Department of the CPC Central Committee (IDCPC), met here today with Sardor Umurzakov, Advisor to the President of Uzbekistan on Strategic Development.

Liu said, last year, President Xi Jinping and President Shavkat Mirziyoyev held two successful meetings and reached a series of important consensus on building a China-Uzbekistan community with a shared future on a higher starting point, charting the course for the further development of bilateral relations. Inter-party exchanges have played an important role in deepening China-Uzbekistan relations. The CPC stands ready to work with major political parties in Uzbekistan to implement the important consensus reached by the two heads of state, firmly support each other on issues concerning core interests, promote practical cooperation across various fields through the "political party +" platform, and deepen exchanges and mutual learning on state governance and administration. Amid a turbulent and changing international landscape, China is willing to strengthen coordination and cooperation with Uzbekistan within multilateral frameworks such as the United Nations, the Shanghai Cooperation Organisation, and BRICS, so as to address global uncertainties with the stability of China-Uzbekistan relations. This year marks the opening year of China's 15th Five-Year Plan period (2026-2030). China is ready to enhance the alignment of development strategies with Uzbekistan and jointly advance respective modernization endeavors. Liu also briefed the Uzbek side on the CPC's education campaign to help officials gain a correct understanding of what it means to perform well and act accordingly.

Umurzakov said, under the strategic guidance of President Shavkat Mirziyoyev and President Xi Jinping, Uzbekistan-China relations have entered a golden period. Regardless of changes in the international situation, Uzbekistan firmly adheres to the one-China principle, is committed to working with China to combat the three evil forces of terrorism, separatism and extremism, supports the series of global initiatives proposed by President Xi Jinping, and stands ready to work with China to implement the important consensus reached by the two heads of state. Uzbekistan is willing to strengthen the alignment between the "Uzbekistan-2030" strategy and China’s 15th Five-Year Plan, and deepen practical cooperation in such areas as economy and trade, science and technology, and sub-national fields. Uzbekistan admires the development achievements made by the CPC and the Chinese people, and believes that Chinese modernization has not only opened a new path for China but also provided an important reference for the world. Uzbekistan attaches importance to learning from the CPC’s governance experience and stands ready to further deepen inter-party exchanges and exchanges of experience in state governance and administration.
