Beijing, May 13th—Liu Haixing, Minister of the International Department of the CPC Central Committee (IDCPC), met here today with a delegation led by Tahir Budagov, Deputy Chairman of the New Azerbaijan Party and Head of the Central Office of Azerbaijan. 

Liu said, in recent years, under the strategic guidance of President Xi Jinping and President Ilham Aliyev, China-Azerbaijan relations have maintained a strong momentum and embarked upon a new chapter in history. The CPC and the New Azerbaijan Party have long maintained close, institutionalized exchanges. As the ruling parties of respective nations, the CPC stands ready to work alongside the New Azerbaijan Party to effectively implement the important consensus reached by the two heads of state, deepen exchanges and mutual learning of experience in state governance and administration, foster interactions between Party cadres, particularly among the youth; leverage the "political party+" platform to advance cooperation in fields such as locality, think tanks, and media; and constantly promote China-Azerbaijan comprehensive strategic partnership. Currently, China is making solid progress in implementing the outline of the 15th Five-Year Plan. China is ready to strengthen the alignment of development strategies with the Azerbaijani side and to join hands as partners on the shared journey toward development and revitalization. 

Budagov said, thanks to the guidance and promotion of the two heads of state, relations between Azerbaijan and China are currently at the historical best and are operating at a high level. Developing relations with China constitutes one of the priority directions of Azerbaijan's foreign policy. The Azerbaijani side firmly upholds the one-China principle and stands ready to work with China to strengthen efforts in the Belt and Road cooperation and the Trans-Caspian International Transport Route, as well as deepen pragmatic cooperation in fields such as green energy, technological innovation, and advanced manufacturing. Azerbaijan supports the four major global initiatives proposed by President Xi Jinping and is ready to implement them with China. Exchanges between the ruling parties of Azerbaijan and China have made significant contributions to the development of bilateral relations. The New Azerbaijan Party is committed to effectively implementing the memorandum on inter-party exchanges and cooperation with the CPC, strengthening interactions at all levels, and leveraging inter-party channels to boost the development of bilateral relations. 

Sun Haiyan, Vice-minister of the IDCPC, Urkhan Alakbarov, Rector of the Academy of Public Administration under the President of the Republic of Azerbaijan, Parvin Karimzadeh, Member of the Board of the New Azerbaijan Party and Member of the Milli Majlis, Bunyad Huseynov, Ambassador of Azerbaijan to China, and others, were present.
