Cairo, May 18th—The China-Egypt political parties roundtable dialogue was held here today. With the theme of pooling wisdom and strength of political Parties, advancing the building of a China-Egypt and China-Arab community with a shared Future for a new era, the event was attended by Liu Haixing, Minister of the International Department of the CPC Central Committee, and heads of 11 political parties and organizations, including the Nation’s Future Party, the Homeland Protectors Party, the National Front Party, the Republican People’s Party and the Social Democratic Party. 

Liu noted, the global changes unseen in a century are accelerating and the international balance of power is undergoing profound adjustments. Faced with the epochal question of where humanity is headed, the CPC, guided by its unwavering pursuit of putting people first, has actively explored a new path to modernization. It adheres to benefiting all countries in the world through its own development and, from the height of human historical progress, it has creatively put forward the vision of building a community with a shared future for humanity, providing a direction and path for all countries to jointly address challenges and achieve common prosperity. 

Liu said, under the strategic guidance of President Xi Jinping and President Abdel Fattah El-Sisi, China-Egypt relations are at their best in history. The CPC stands ready to work with Egyptian political parties to be like-minded partners, facilitators of people-to-people bonds, and practitioners of solidarity and mutual support. It will closely align inter-party exchanges with the modernization drives of both countries, enhance political mutual trust through political party dialogue, promote mutual learning through idea exchanges, deepen diverse cooperation through common development, vigorously advance dialogue among civilizations of the world, contribute to the building of a China-Egypt community with a shared future, and promote peace and stability in the region and the world. 

The Egyptian side noted, Egypt and China are two great civilizations with a long history. Over the 70 years since the establishment of diplomatic relations, bilateral relations have become a vivid example of mutual assistance among the Global South countries. Egypt sincerely congratulates China on its remarkable development achievements and thanks China for its long-standing, firm support for the just cause of the Arab people. Egypt-China cooperation has delivered tangible development opportunities to the Egyptian people, proving that Egypt’s commitment to developing relations with China is the right choice. Political parties serve as vehicles for strategic mutual trust between the two countries, and political party exchanges reflect the in-depth development of bilateral relations. Egyptian political parties stand ready to strengthen communication with the CPC, exchange views on building social consensus, boosting public confidence and nurturing a young generation capable of meeting future challenges, and advance dialogue between the two civilizations and practical cooperation through political party channels, so as to contribute to the further development of bilateral relations and to peace and stability in the Middle East and the world at large.
