Yan'an, September 10th—The thematic briefing "Stories of CPC—Achievements of Shaanxi in Practicing Xi Jinping Thought on Socialism with Chinese Characteristics for a New Era", co-hosted by the International Department of the CPC Central Committee (IDCPC) and the CPC Shaanxi Provincial Committee, was held here today. Themed on "Forging the Chinese Path to Modernization with Two Integrations," the briefing used Shaanxi in the new era as a window to vividly tell the story of how, under the strong leadership of the CPC Central Committee with Comrade Xi Jinping at its core, the CPC continues to carry forward the Yan'an Spirit, leads Chinese modernization through the "Two Integrations," and has driven tremendous achievements in China's economic and social development. More than 200 participants were present, including Nguyen Xuan Thang, Chairman of the Central Theory Council of the Communist Party of Vietnam (CPV), Odongiin Tsogtgerel, Chairman of the Democratic Party of Mongolia, and leaders of political parties, think tank scholars, business and media representatives from over 50 countries.

Liu Haixing, Minister of the IDCPC, said in his keynote speech that in July 2021, General Secretary Xi Jinping first put forward the "Two Integrations," which represent the theoretical essence distilled from the CPC's exploration of the path of socialism with Chinese characteristics, and another leap forward in the Party's guiding ideology. Throughout its century-long journey, the CPC has always been committed to adapting Marxism to the Chinese context and the needs of the times, continuously advancing the Party's theoretical and practical innovation, and turning its original aspiration of taking root among the people and seeking happiness for the people into persevering resolve and driving force, uniting and leading the Chinese people of all ethnic groups to remarkable achievements. At present, under the strong leadership of the CPC Central Committee with Comrade Xi Jinping at its core, the CPC is upholding the "Two Integrations" and pioneering a new chapter of Chinese modernization on all fronts. The CPC will remain deeply rooted in history, in the people and in China's fine traditional culture, remain committed to openness to embrace the world, deepen exchanges and cooperation with political parties and political organizations of all countries, and jointly explore modernization paths with distinctive features of each country.

Zhao Yide, Secretary of the CPC Shaanxi Provincial Committee, said that since the 18th CPC National Congress, General Secretary Xi has visited Shaanxi many times, entrusting the province with the strategic mission of writing a new chapter of Chinese modernization in Shaanxi. Guided by the "Two Integrations," Shaanxi has consciously explored the laws of modernization and drawn wisdom and strength from its rich red culture and historical and cultural resources, driving new progress and results in various undertakings. Shaanxi will forge ahead unswervingly in the direction pointed out by General Secretary Xi and strive for greater breakthroughs in high-quality development and modernization. He extended a warm invitation to all guests to travel around and experience, through the "window of Shaanxi," the vibrant landscape of Chinese modernization and share in its development opportunities.

In the story-sharing session, grassroots Party member representatives from across Shaanxi shared vivid stories from their own experiences of the province's progress in rural revitalization, high-quality development, cultural heritage protection and preservation, ecological civilization, and party building.

Foreign participants warmly congratulated the CPC on its 105th anniversary and spoke highly of the brilliant achievements the CPC has made in uniting and leading the Chinese people over the past century and more. They said that Shaanxi's development is proof of the success of Chinese modernization guided by the "Two Integrations," and that Chinese modernization is one of the most far-reaching development practices in today's world. China's success shows that the vitality of a theory lies in its ability to truly answer the major questions raised by the country, the people and the times. Xi Jinping Thought on Socialism with Chinese Characteristics for a New Era has not only demonstrated great theoretical and practical significance in China's development process, but also provides important reference for Global South countries in exploring modernization paths suited to their own national conditions. They expressed the willingness to strengthen exchanges and mutual learning with the CPC and jointly advance the building of a community with a shared future for humanity.
