On the afternoon of June 26th local time, a working group from the International Department of the CPC Central Committee (IDCPC), which was visiting Angola, attended a seminar at the Chinese Embassy in Angola themed “Sharing Governance Experience, Joining Hands for Modernization,” to celebrate the 105th anniversary of the founding of the CPC. Zhang Bin, Chinese Ambassador to Angola, Esteves Hilario, Member of the Political Bureau and Secretary of Information and Communications of the People’s Movement for the Liberation of Angola (MPLA), José António Lopes Semedo, Vice-Chairperson of the 3rd Specialized Working Committee — Committee on Foreign Affairs, International Cooperation and Angolan Communities Abroad — of the National Assembly of Angola, and nearly 150 participants from various sectors of Angolan society, including political parties, the parliament, think tanks and the media, were present.
The Angolan participants warmly congratulated the CPC on its 105th anniversary. They noted that over the past century, China has undergone the most profound social transformation in human history, and that China's tremendous achievements are the result of the continuous struggle of the Chinese people under the leadership of the CPC. Xi Jinping Thought on Socialism with Chinese Characteristics for a New Era has offered important inspiration for African countries, including Angola, in advancing their modernization processes. The Angolan side expressed readiness to strengthen the exchange of experience in state governance and administration with the CPC to promote greater development of Angola-China and Africa-China relations.
The seminar lasted for more than three hours, during which the Chinese and Angolan sides engaged in full and interactive exchanges.
