Beijing, May 31st—Guo Yezhou, Vice-minister of the International Department of the CPC Central Committee met here today with a joint study group of Government and Parliament of Papua New Guinea led by Jeffrey Komal, MP of People’s National Congress Party and Deputy Speaker.
Guo expressed that China attaches high importance to developing national and party-to-party relations with Papua New Guinea, and hopes to further enhance mutual trust, increase consensus, deepen understanding and promote cooperation, in a bid to push exchanges at various levels and in various areas for further and in-depth development.
Komal expressed that Papua New Guinea firmly adheres to the one-China policy. All its ruling and opposition parties attach great importance to developing friendly exchanges with the CPC and stand ready to further deepen party-to-party dialogues, so as to promote the development of bilateral relations.
