Beijing, September 14th—Qian Hongshan, Vice-minister of the International Department of the CPC Central Committee, met today on the afternoon with the young cadre study group of political parties of the UK and Northern Europe headed by Damian White, Leader of the Council for London Borough of Havering, and Ilona Koivunalho, Chairwoman for the Women’s Organization in the Region of South Finland, Centre Party of Finland.

Speaking positively of China’s relations with the UK and Northern European countries, Qian expressed that the CPC is willing to develop and deepen a new type of inter-party relations with political parties in various countries, strengthen exchanges at all levels, and promote the constant and forward-looking development of the relations between China and various countries.

White and Koivunalho spoke highly of China’s development achievements and bilateral relations, and expressed that they stand ready to strengthen exchanges and mutual learning between their respective political parties and the CPC to promote the new development of the national relations.
