Guo Yezhou Attends the Second International Forum on the Belt and Road Initiative and Global Governance

Shanghai, October 14th, 2018—The second International Forum on the Belt and Road Initiative and Global Governance, which was co-organized by the Silk Road Think Tank Association (SRTA) and Fudan University, kicked off in Fudan University. The theme of the forum is “the Belt and Road Initiative and Global Governance: new practice and new concept. About 150 people attended the forum including representatives from 25 countries and personages from political, business and academic circles of China. Guo Yezhou, Vice-minister of the International Department of the CPC Central Committee and Co-Chairman of the SRTA Council, and Jiao Yang, Party Secretary of Fudan University, attended and addressed the opening ceremony.

Guo expressed in his speech that the key reason why the Belt and Road Initiative has received wide support and active participation from the international community lies in that it conforms to the general direction of the world's development and the general trend of global governance reform. In the future cooperation, all parties should make joint efforts and integrate the construction of the Belt and Road Initiative with global governance reform in an organic way, so as to promote the mutual support and mutual promotion.
