Beijing, August 23rd—Guo Yezhou, Vice-minister of the International Department of the CPC Central Committee, met here today on the morning with a joint study group of government and parliament of Papua New Guinea headed by Peter Numu, Leader of the One Nation Party of Papua New Guinea and Governor for Eastern Highlands.

Speaking positively of China-Papua New Guinea relations, Guo expressed that the CPC is willing to maintain friendly exchanges with all political parties of Papua New Guinea, share experience in state governance and administration, and enhance mutually beneficial cooperation to achieve common development.

Numu thanked the Chinese side for its long-term support and assistance, and said that Papua New Guinea will adhere to the One China principle, and that all political parties of Papua New Guinea are willing to continue to deepen exchanges with the CPC and cement communication and mutual learning.
