In mid-November, the Administrative Office of the Party Committee of the International Department of the CPC Central Committee (IDCPC) held the “Training Session for New Members of Party Committee, Members of Commission for Discipline Inspection, and Secretaries of Directly Affiliated Party Organizations” to further study and implement spirits of the fourth plenary session of the 19th CPC Central Committee and important speeches delivered by General Secretary Xi Jinping at the conference on Party building in central Party and state institutions and fully implement the requirement of the seminar on advancing Party building in central Party and state institutions for the new era. Wang Yajun, Vice-minister and Secretary of the Administrative Office of the IDCPC Party Committee, attended the session and delivered a mobilization speech. Zhu Rui and Li Mingxiang, Assistant-ministers and members of the Standing Committee of the Administrative Office of the IDCPC Party Committee, also attended the session. More than 50 people including secretaries of directly affiliated Party organizations and Party officials of administrative office were present at the session.

In his speech, Wang expounded the importance of advancing high-quality development in Party building, analyzed the focus of Party building, and put forward specific proposals on making the Party building more scientific and standardized. He emphasized that we should pay attention to summarizing experience, advance Party building in step with the times, be problem-oriented in promoting the deep integration of Party building with business and team building, strictly implement the regulations to ensure the implementation of all the work, and strengthen the sense of duty to carry out responsibilities.

Chen Jing, Deputy Director of Policy Research Office in Work Committee for Departments Directly Under the CPC Central Committee, Ma Conghui, Vice Minister of the Basic Party Organization Construction Guidance Department in Work Committee for Departments Directly Under the CPC Central Committee, and Chen Hao, Deputy Head of the Discipline Inspection and Supervision Office of the CPC Central Commission for Discipline Inspection and the National Commission of Supervision at the Office of Foreign Affairs of the CPC Central Committee, delivered special reports respectively on “thoroughly study and implement the spirit of General Secretary Xi Jinping’s important speeches and promote high-quality development of Party building in central Party and state institutions”, “study and implement Branch Work Regulations of the Communist Party of China (for Trial Implementation) and Education Management Regulations on Members of the Communist Party of China and “make solid progress in Party building of basic Party organizations”, and “further study and implement General Secretary Xi Jinping’s important speeches on comprehensively governing the Party with strict discipline and fighting corruption and improving conduct”. Participants said that the training gave them a deeper understanding of the importance, mission, arrangement, and requirement of advancing Party building in central Party and state institutions in the new era. They believed that they should have a high degree of political consciousness of “remaining true to the original aspiration and keeping the mission firmly in mind”, fulfill “dual responsibilities”, increase the sense of duty, and jointly promote the high-quality development of Party building in the IDCPC.
