Beijing, December 20th—Guo Yezhou, Vice-minister of the International Department of the CPC Central Committee, met here today on the afternoon with Lui Tuck Yew, Singaporean Ambassador to China. Both sides exchanged in-depth views on bilateral relations, exchanges between ruling parties, and relations between China and ASEAN.
Guo made positive comments on China-Singapore relations, saying that the CPC is willing to strengthen exchanges and cooperation with the People’s Action Party of Singapore and take the opportunity of the 30th anniversary of the establishment of diplomatic ties next year to jointly promote the all-round cooperative partnership between China and Singapore that keeps pace with the times.
Lui spoke highly of the great achievements made by the People's Republic of China since its founding 70 years ago. He said he would actively promote close exchanges between the governments and ruling parties of the two countries and promote new progress in Singapore-China and ASEAN-China cooperation.
