Lu Kang Meets with Jan Zahradil, Vice-Chair of European Conservatives and Reformists Group in the European Parliament

Beijing, June 3rdLu Kang, Vice-minister of the International Department of the CPC Central Committee, met here today with Jan Zahradil, Vice-Chair of European Conservatives and Reformists Group in the European Parliament.  


Lu said, President Xi Jinping's had high-level strategic communication with European leaders during his visit to Europe in May, charting the course for a new start of China-Europe cooperation. In today's world, China and Europe are two major forces in building a multipolar world, two big markets that promote globalization, and two great civilizations that advocate cultural diversity. China-Europe relations have an important impact on world peace, stability, development and prosperity. China is ready to work with Europe to continue to view China-Europe relations from a strategic and long-term perspective, and turn China and Europe into each other’s key partners for economic and trade cooperation, priority partners for cooperation in science and technology, and trustworthy partners for cooperation in industrial and supply chains.  

Zahradil said, the current international situation is complicated, and the world significance of Europe-China relations has been further highlighted. Zahradil expressed the willingness to continuously be committed to promoting Europe-China exchanges and cooperation, enhance mutual understanding and trust between the two sides, and make positive contributions to the sound and stable development of bilateral relations.
