Tianjin, July 5th—Tianjin investment and business environment promotion and China-Japan business cooperation dialogue was held here today. Ma Hui, Assistant-minister of the International Department of the CPC Central Committee, Zhang Ling, Vice Mayor of Tianjin, Takashi Shinohara, Member of the House of Representatives of Japan's National Diet, Satoshi Miyamoto, Vice Chairman of the Japanese Chamber of Commerce and Industry in China and others attended and addressed the function.
Ma said, President Xi Jinping and Prime Minister Fumio Kishida held a meeting in San Francisco and reached important consensus. They reiterated their commitment to comprehensively promoting a mutually beneficial relationship based on common strategic interests between China and Japan, providing important political guidance for the development of bilateral relations. It is hoped that the Japanese political and business circles would correctly understand the prospects of China's economic and social development, seize the opportunities of China's modernization, give full play to the role of entrepreneurs as a dynamic force, and deepen economic and trade cooperation to achieve common development. Ma called on both sides to actively tap the potential of sub-national investment cooperation and create new growth drivers for China-Japan cooperation, so as to make greater contributions to promoting the healthy and stable development of China-Japan relations.
Zhang said, boasting strategic advantage of the coordinated development of the Beijing-Tianjin-Hebei region, Tianjin is pursuing coordinated development between Beijing and Tianjin, promoting the "Ten Actions" of high-quality development, and striving to write the Tianjin chapter of Chinese modernization in accordance with the spirit of General Secretary Xi Jinping's important speeches. It is hoped that Japanese companies will further learn about Tianjin, invest in Tianjin, promote Tianjin, share cooperation opportunities, and create a better future together.
Shinohara said, China is Japan's largest trading partner, and the two countries should maintain good relations. He said that he led a delegation to China in the hope of promoting economic development through political channels, and helping the two countries carry out practical cooperation in a wider range and at a deeper level.
Miyamoto said, the Chinese market is the most important overseas market for Japanese companies. The Japanese Chamber of Commerce and Industry in China is willing to continue to play the role of a bridge, further promote Japan-China economic and trade cooperation, and contribute to the sound development of bilateral relations.
The dialogue was jointly hosted by the China Economic Cooperation Center (CECC),the Foreign Affairs Office of Tianjin Municipal People's Government and the Japanese Chamber of Commerce and Industry in China. More than 100 people, including representatives from Japanese political and business circles, the Japanese business community in China, Tianjin government departments, business associations, and entrepreneurs attended the meeting. After the meeting, Chinese and Japanese companies had matchmaking in groups and achieved sound results.
