Beijing, July 25th—Li Mingxiang, Vice-minister of the International Department of the CPC Central Committee, met here today with a delegation led by Obert Mpofu, Secretary General of the Zimbabwe African National Union–Patriotic Front (ZANU–PF).
Li spoke positively of the traditional friendship and friendly cooperative relations between the two Parties and the two countries, and introduced the spirit of the third plenary session of the 20th CPC Central Committee as well as General Secretary Xi Jinping's important thoughts on party building. He expressed that the CPC is willing to, together with the ZANU–PF, take the important consensus of President Xi Jinping and President Emmerson Mnangagwa as guidance, strengthen high-level exchanges, deepen exchanges and mutual learning of experience in state governance and administration, strengthen unity and cooperation, promote China-Zimbabwe comprehensive strategic cooperative partnership for in-depth development, and jointly build a high-level China-Africa community with a shared future.
Mpofu said, the Zimbabwean side is willing to work with the Chinese side to implement the important consensus of the two heads of state, further strengthen political mutual trust, deepen exchanges and mutual learning, and further enhance practical cooperation between the two countries under the framework of the Belt and Road Initiative and the Forum on China-Africa Cooperation. The Zimbabwean side pays close attention to the third plenary session of the 20th CPC Central Committee and believes that the plenary session will not only inject new impetus into China's development, but also bring more opportunities for Zimbabwe-China and Africa-China cooperation.
