Changchun, October 14th—Sun Haiyan, Vice-minister of the International Department of the CPC Central Committee met here today on the afternoon with Agni Prasad Sapkota, senior Vice Chairperson of the Communist Party of Nepal (Maoist Center) and former Parliament Speaker.
Sun welcomed Sapkota and his delegation of local party and government officials. She said, China and Nepal enjoy an enduring friendship, and are partners and opportunities to each other on the road to national development and prosperity. The two countries understand and support each other on issues concerning each other's core interests and major concerns. The CPC is willing to continue to strengthen exchanges and cooperation at all levels with major political parties of Nepal, including the Communist Party of Nepal (Maoist Center), deepen exchanges and mutual learning, and play a positive role in promoting China-Nepal relations and the well-being of the two peoples.
Sapkota said, Nepal highly admires the great achievements made by the Chinese people under the leadership of the CPC, and looks forward to getting on board the “express train” of China’s development and sharing the opportunities of Chinese modernization. The Communist Party of Nepal (Maoist Center) looks forward to strengthening exchanges with the CPC, and learning the experience in party building and local governance from China to push the development of Nepal-China cooperation in various fields.
