Beijing, December 17th—Li Mingxiang, Vice-minister of the International Department of the CPC Central Committee, met here today with a delegation led by Karim Salem, the secretary responsible for training and education of the Central Committee of the Republican People's Party of Egypt.

Li emphatically introduced Xi Jinping Thought on Socialism with Chinese Characteristics in the New Era and the spirit of the third plenary session of the 20th CPC Central Committee to the delegation. He said, the Chinese side has always viewed and developed China-Egypt relations from a strategic and long-term perspective. The CPC is willing to work with the Republican People's Party of Egypt to implement the important consensus reached by President Xi Jinping and President Abdel-Fattah al-Sisi, enhance political mutual trust, deepen mutual learning, promote practical cooperation, strengthen people-to-people and cultural exchanges, and push China-Egypt comprehensive strategic partnership for in-depth development.

Salem congratulated the CPC on the successful convening of the third plenary session of the 20th CPC Central Committee, praised the great achievements of China's economic and social development made under the leadership of the CPC, and thanked China for supporting Egypt's modernization drive. He expressed his willingness to deepen exchanges and cooperation with the CPC and learn from its successful experience in party building, cadre training, reform, development, etc.
