Beijing, December 17th—Ma Hui, Vice-minister of the International Department of the CPC Central Committee, met here today with a delegation of European think tank scholars.

Ma said, correct mutual understanding is the prerequisite for the sound development of China-Europe relations. It is hoped that European think tank scholars will play a constructive role and help all sectors of Europe establish a correct view of China.

The European side noted, under the new situation, European think tank scholars are willing to maintain communication and exchanges with the Chinese side, enhance mutual understanding and trust between Europe and China, and contribute perspectives to the sound and stable development of Europe-China relations.
