Beijing, April 3rd—Zhao Shitong, Assistant-minister of the International Department of the CPC Central Committee, met here today on the morning with Markus Borchert, President of Nokia Greater China. 

Zhao state that President Xi Jinping recently met with representatives of the international business community and fully affirmed the contributions of foreign-funded enterprises to China's development, which was another demonstration of China's firm determination to further deepen reform and expand high-level opening up. With the accelerating unilateralism and protectionism at present, China and Europe should strengthen strategic communication and cooperation to jointly respond to risks and challenges. Foreign-funded enterprises, including Nokia, are welcome to continue to deepen their presence in the Chinese market and work with China to achieve greater development. 

Markus Borchert said, Nokia attaches great importance to the Chinese market. During its 40 years of operation in China, Nokia has always been an important participant and witness to the development of China's telecommunications industry. Looking to the future, Nokia is willing to, together with the Chinese side, further deepen cooperation in telecommunications, Internet of Things, new energy, automobiles, etc., work together with China for win-win cooperation and contribute to the stable development of the world economy.
