Beijing, June 9th—Sun Haiyan, Vice-minister of the International Department of the CPC Central Committee, met here today on the afternoon with a delegation of Luxembourg's Chamber of Deputies led by Gilles Baum, Parliamentary Group Leader of the Democratic Party.   

Sun said that sharing a long-lasting friendship, China and Luxembourg are trustworthy partners. The two countries have set an example of mutual respect, equal treatment and mutually beneficial cooperation between a large and a small country. The CPC is willing to strengthen exchanges and dialogues with all political parties in Luxembourg, deepen exchange of ideas, build consensus on cooperation, promote the sound and steady development of China-Luxembourg and China-Europe relations, and inject more stability and certainty into the complex and turbulent world. 

The delegation members spoke highly of China's achievements in economic and social development, and said that Luxembourg and China have yielded fruitful results in exchanges and cooperation across fields including finance, steel, air cargo, and culture. Luxembourg is willing to work with China to continue to deepen mutually beneficial cooperation, safeguard multilateralism and free trade, and promote world peace, stability and prosperity. 

The two sides had extensive exchanges on international and regional issues of common concern.
