Beijing, June 26th—Jin Xin, Assistant-minister of the International Department of the CPC Central Committee, met here today with a delegation led by Sid Ahmed Ould Mohamed, President of the Equity Party of Mauritania. 

Jin spoke positively of the relations between the two countries and the two Parties. He said, since the establishment of diplomatic relations more than 60 years ago, China and Mauritania have always been good friends supporting each other, good partners seeking development together, and good partners standing in unity and pursuing cooperation. The CPC is willing to work with the Equity Party to further give play to the political leading role of exchanges between the ruling parties, implement the important consensus reached between President Xi Jinping and President Mohamed Ould Cheikh Ghazouani, intensify high-level exchanges, deepen exchanges of ideas, promote pragmatic cooperation, strengthen mutual learning between the two civilizations, and promote the steady development of the China-Mauritania strategic partnership in the long term. 

Mohamed said, Mauritania is resolute in developing friendship with China and adheres to the one-China principle. It appreciates China's just position on international and regional issues and hopes that China will play a greater role in maintaining international fairness and justice and in promoting regional peace and stability. The Equity Party attaches great importance to its friendly relations with the CPC and looks forward to closer exchanges between the two Parties at all levels, and enhancing exchanges and cooperation in areas such as party building and cadre training, to promote greater development of relations between the two countries.
