Beijing, September 4th—Sun Haiyan, Vice-minister of the International Department of the CPC Central Committee, met here today with Arun Kumar, Member of the Political Bureau of the Communist Party of India-Marxist (CPI-M) and Head of the International Department of the CPI-M. 

Sun said, recently, President Xi Jinping and Prime Minister Narendra Modi held a meeting on the sidelines of the Shanghai Cooperation Organization Summit, which charted the course for the improvement and development of China-India relations. The CPC is willing to work with Indian political parties, including the CPI-M, to implement the important consensus reached by the leaders of the two countries and contribute to the sustained, healthy and stable development of China-India relations through inter-party exchanges and cooperation. 

Arun said, the CPI-M adheres to a friendly policy towards China, firmly supports the improvement and development of India-China relations, admires the great achievements made by the Chinese people under the leadership of the CPC, and looks forward to further strengthening the relations between the two Parties and working together to promote friendly cooperation between the two countries.
