Beijing, September 9th—Sun Haiyan, Vice-minister of the International Department of the CPC Central Committee (IDCPC), met here today on the afternoon with a delegation of the New Azerbaijan Party led by Hikmat Baba oglu Mammadov, a member of the council of the New Azerbaijan Party and a member of the National Assembly. 

Sun said, under the joint guidance of President Xi Jinping and President Ilham Aliyev, the China-Azerbaijan comprehensive strategic partnership has maintained a high-level development momentum. The CPC is willing to enhance institutionalized exchanges with the New Azerbaijan Party, thoroughly implement the important consensus reached by the two heads of state, strengthen experience exchanges in party building and state governance, support practical cooperation in various fields, and actively contribute the strength of political parties to the development of China-Azerbaijan relations. 

Speaking highly of the achievements made by China in its development in the new era, Mammadov said, Azerbaijan-China relations maintain a robust development momentum and hold great potential. Azerbaijan fully supports the four major global initiatives proposed by President Xi Jinping. The New Azerbaijan Party is willing to strengthen friendly exchanges and cooperation with the CPC, implement the important consensus reached by the two heads of state, and promote the continuous development of Azerbaijan-China relations.
