Beijing, September 11th—Sun Haiyan, Vice-minister of the International Department of the CPC Central Committee (IDCPC), met here today on the morning with a cross-party delegation of members of the Malaysian House of Representatives led by Alice Lau Kiong Yieng, Member of the Democratic Action Party (DAP)’s Central Executive Committee and Deputy Speaker of the House of Representatives.
Sun said, under the strategic guidance of the leaders of both countries, China-Malaysia relations have continuously reached new heights. The efforts of political parties, parliaments and other sectors in both countries have also made positive contributions to this end. The CPC is willing to further enhance exchanges and cooperation with all political parties in the Malaysian Parliament. Guided by the important consensus reached by the leaders of the two countries on building a high-level strategic China-Malaysia community with a shared future, the CPC is willing to deepen exchanges of experience in state governance and administration, promote mutually beneficial cooperation in various fields, and work together to seek development, creating more benefits for the people of both countries and contributing to regional peace, stability and prosperity.
Highly speaking of the development achievements in Chinese modernization, Alice Lau Kiong Yieng said, Malaysia-China relations enjoy strong development momentum. President Xi Jinping's successful visit to Malaysia in this April pushed bilateral relations to a new high. Malaysia is willing to deepen exchanges and cooperation between political parties and legislative bodies with China, enhance exchanges between civilizations and personnel exchanges, and contribute to the continuous improvement of bilateral relations and regional peace and prosperity.
