Beijing, September 25th—Sun Haiyan, Vice-minister of the International Department of the CPC Central Committee, met here today on the afternoon with a delegation led by Lokman Noor Adam, Supreme Council Member of the United Malays National Organization (UMNO) of Malaysia.
Sun said, President Xi Jinping paid a state visit to Malaysia in April this year, during which the two sides reached important consensus on building a high-level strategic China-Malaysia community with a shared future, charting the course for a new "golden 50 years" of China-Malaysia relations. The CPC is willing to work with the UMNO to implement the important consensus reached by the leaders of the two countries, further deepen exchanges and cooperation, strengthen mutual learning of experience in state governance and administration, and actively contribute to the improvement of the well-being of the peoples of the two countries and regional peace, stability, and prosperity.
Lokman said, the UMNO highly appreciates the current China-Malaysia relations, stays committed to continuously deepening Malaysia-China friendship, and cherishes the traditional friendship with the CPC. The UMNO is willing to further strengthen exchanges between the two Parties, deepen exchanges and mutual learning of governance experience, promote practical cooperation in such areas as vocational education, and inject new connotations and new impetus into the high-level development of bilateral relations.
