Beijing, March 17th—Lu Kang, Vice-minister of the International Department of the CPC Central Committee, met here today with a delegation of the United Seychelles from Seychelles led by Paul Ernesta, Secretary General of the United Seychelles. 

Lu spoke highly of the relations between the two Parties and the two countries, and introduced the spirit of the fourth plenary session of the 20th CPC Central Committee and China's Two Sessions. He said, China is willing to work with Seychelles to implement the important consensus reached by the two heads of state and the outcomes of the Beijing Summit of the Forum on China-Africa Cooperation, increase mutual support on issues concerning each other's core interests and major concerns, strengthen mutually beneficial cooperation, and promote the continuous development of the strategic partnership between China and Seychelles. The CPC and the United Seychelles share similar ideas and should enhance strategic communication, deepen ideological exchanges, promote cooperation and people-to-people and cultural exchanges, and learn from each other in advancing modernization in respective countries. 

Ernesta said, Seychelles is willing to take the 50th anniversary of the establishment of diplomatic relations between the two countries as an opportunity to strengthen cooperation in all fields and better benefit the people of both countries. The United Seychelles admires China's great achievements in modernization and looks forward to strengthening exchanges with the CPC in areas such as party organization and discipline building, youth development, and news and publicity to better lead Seychelles' development and rejuvenation.
