Beijing, March 20th—Jin Xin, Assistant-minister of the International Department of the CPC Central Committee, met here today with Abdulmajid Meliqta, Special Envoy of the Prime Minister for Asian Affairs in the Government of National Unity and Chairman of the High Committee for Supervising Libyan-Chinese Cooperation. 

Jin said, China and Libya enjoy traditional friendship. China supports Libya in safeguarding its national sovereignty, unity and territorial integrity, and supports a Libyan-owned and Libyan-led political transition process. China is willing to take the important consensus reached by the leaders of the two countries as guidance, actively participate in Libya's development and reconstruction process, and promote the steady and far-reaching development of the strategic partnership between China and Libya. The CPC is willing to strengthen exchanges with all parties in Libya, deepen ideological exchanges and mutual learning of experience, and promote the development of bilateral relations through inter-party channels. 

Abdulmajid said, Libya is grateful for China's objective and impartial position on the Libyan issue. Libya attaches great importance to developing relations with China and always regards China as a reliable strategic partner. Libya looks forward to expanding personnel exchanges and deepening practical cooperation with China. Libya highly appreciates the tremendous development achievements made by the Chinese people under the leadership of the CPC and is willing to learn from the CPC's experience in state governance and administration to promote its own development and rejuvenation.
