Beijing, July 16th— Jin Xin, Vice-minister of the International Department of the CPC Central Committee, attended here today on the afternoon an online salon themed "changes unseen in a century and the building of a China-Arab community with a shared future," hosted by the International Centre for Strategic, Security and Military Studies of Tunisia. Political heavyweights, think-tank scholars, and media representatives from eight Arab countries, including Mohammad Shtayyeh, Member of the Fatah Central Committee and former Prime Minister of Palestine and Ali Yousif Ahmed, Secretary-General of the Association of Arab-Chinese Friendship Societies and former Foreign Minister of Sudan, attended the event.

Jin noted that the global landscape is undergoing accelerating changes unseen in a century, and the world has entered a new period of turbulence and transformation. The vision of building a community with a shared future for humanity and the four global initiatives proposed by General Secretary Xi Jinping provide China's answer to global challenges and the reform of the global governance system. China is ready to take the 70th anniversary of the establishment of diplomatic relations between China and Arab countries this year as an opportunity to work with the Arab side to implement the strategic consensus reached by Chinese and Arab leaders, uphold mutual support, jointly pursue development and revitalization, build enduring peace, and promote dialogue among civilizations, so as to advance the building of a higher-level China-Arab community with a shared future. Jin also briefed participants on the spirit of the important speech delivered by General Secretary Xi Jinping at the gathering celebrating the 105th anniversary of the founding of the CPC, saying the CPC stands ready to strengthen friendly exchanges and conceptual communication with various sectors of Arab countries, so as to build political consensus and consolidate public support for the building of a China-Arab community with a shared future.

The Arab participants extended warm congratulations on the 105th anniversary of the founding of the CPC, spoke highly of the great development achievements of the Chinese people under the leadership of the CPC, and thanked China for its long-standing firm support for the just cause of the Arab peoples. They noted that Arab-China relations are now in a "golden era."The Arab side has always regarded China as a trustworthy strategic partner, and it stands ready to work with China to jointly implement the four global initiatives, take the building of a China-Arab community with a shared future to new depths, forge a new model of international relations, promote a more just, equitable and balanced international order, and advance peace, stability and development in the region and the world.
