Beijing, July 17th—Jin Xin, Vice-minister of the International Department of the CPC Central Committee, met here today with A. Berris Ekinci, Deputy Foreign Minister of Türkiye.

Jin noted that China and Türkiye are both major developing countries and important members of the Global South. Over the past 55 years since the establishment of diplomatic relations, China-Türkiye relations have withstood the tests of changing international circumstances and continued to move forward. In particular, in recent years, under the strategic guidance of President Xi Jinping and President Recep Tayyip Erdoğan, bilateral relations and practical cooperation across various fields have maintained a sound momentum of development. China is ready to work with Türkiye to fully implement the important consensus reached by the two heads of state, deepen inter-party exchanges and cooperation across various fields, and push the China-Türkiye strategic cooperative relations to new heights.
Ekinci said, the Turkish side attaches great importance to developing relations with China and stands ready to accelerate the alignment between Türkiye's Middle Corridor Initiative and the Belt and Road Initiative, tap the potential for cooperation in such areas as economy, trade, people-to-people exchange and tourism, and promote greater development of bilateral relations.
The two sides also exchanged views on international and regional issues of mutual concern.
