Beijing, February 10th—Sun Haiyan, Vice-minister of the International Department of the CPC Central Committee (IDCPC), met here today around midday with Albert Chua, Permanent Secretary in the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Singapore.
Sun said, this year marks the 35th anniversary of the establishment of diplomatic relations between China and Singapore. The two countries enjoy close exchanges at all levels and bilateral relations are running at a high level. The CPC is willing to, together with the People's Action Party (PAP) of Singapore, deepen and make concrete efforts in promoting institutionalized exchanges and cooperation, jointly implement the important consensus reached by the leaders of the two countries, and promote bilateral all-round high-quality future-oriented partnership for in-depth development.
Chua spoke positively of Singapore-China relations. He said, Singapore attaches importance to developing bilateral relations and exchanges between the two countries' ruling parties. He expected that both sides would take the 35th anniversary of the establishment of diplomatic relations between Singapore and China as an opportunity to further strengthen high-level exchanges and practical cooperation in various fields, and push Singapore-China relations to a new level.
