Beijing, February 25th—Liu Haixing, Minister of the International Department of the CPC Central Committee (IDCPC), met here today with Farhod Arziev, Ambassador of Uzbekistan to China. 

Liu said, last year, President Xi Jinping and President Shavkat Mirziyoyev held two successful meetings and reached important consensus on deepening the China-Uzbekistan all-weather comprehensive strategic partnership for a new era, injecting strong impetus into all-round cooperation between the two countries. Inter-party exchanges constitute an important component of China-Uzbekistan relations. The CPC stands ready to work with political parties of Uzbekistan to implement the important consensus reached by the two heads of state, deepen strategic alignment and integrated development, strengthen experience exchange in state governance and administration and mutual learning among civilizations, promote practical cooperation across various fields and people-to-people bonds, and jointly safeguard regional peace, stability and development. 

Arziev extended Spring Festival greetings to the Chinese people and said, under the strategic guidance of the two heads of state, Uzbekistan-China relations have achieved high-quality development, with fruitful cooperation in various fields. Uzbekistan highly appreciates the four major global initiatives proposed by President Xi Jinping, firmly supports China's position on issues concerning its core interests, such as the Taiwan question, and hopes to strengthen friendly exchanges in political party and parliamentary channels, deepen experience exchanges in poverty reduction, promote cooperation in education, culture, tourism and between localities, and jointly advance modernization.
