Beijing, February 27th—Liu Haixing, Minister of the International Department of the CPC Central Committee (IDCPC), met here today with Selçuk Ünal, Ambassador of Türkiye to China.

Liu said, last year, President Xi Jinping met with President Recep Tayyip Erdogan, who was in China for the SCO Tianjin Summit, and reached a series of important consensus, charting the course for the development of bilateral relations. This year marks the 55th anniversary of the establishment of diplomatic relations between China and Türkiye. The CPC is willing to strengthen exchanges with Adalet ve Kalkınma Partisi and other political parties of Türkiye, both ruling and opposition, to promote institutionalized cooperation among ruling parties, deepen exchanges and mutual learning of experience in state governance and administration, and conduct more "political party+" exchanges to help the two countries strengthen the alignment of development strategies, achieve a higher level of mutual benefit and win-win results, and benefit the people of both countries. Given the complex and volatile international situation, both sides should strengthen communication and cooperation on international and regional issues, and promote the building of a community with a shared future for mankind.
Ünal said, under the strategic guidance of the two heads of state, Türkiye and China have enjoyed frequent high-level exchanges and significant development in bilateral relations. Türkiye firmly supports China in safeguarding its sovereignty and territorial integrity, adheres to the one-China principle, and is willing to take the 55th anniversary of the establishment of diplomatic relations as an opportunity to further strengthen inter-party exchanges, promote trade and cultural exchanges, enhance the alignment of the Middle Corridor initiative with the Belt and Road Initiative, and promote the better development of Türkiye-China relations. The Turkish Embassy in China is willing to maintain close communication with the IDCPC.
The two sides also exchanged views on other issues of common concern.
Jin Xin, Assistant-minister of the IDCPC, was present.
