Beijing, May 18th—Ma Hui, Vice-minister of the International Department of the CPC Central Committee, met here today with a delegation of the Sandinista National Liberation Front (FSLN) of Nicaragua, led by Reyna Rueda, Mayor of Managua.

Ma appreciates Nicaragua’s firm adherence to the one-China principle and its support for China on international and regional issues. He stated, China will continue to firmly support Nicaragua in safeguarding national sovereignty and dignity. The CPC stands ready to continuously deepen the traditional friendship with the FSLN, expand the breadth and depth of inter-party exchanges, and promote the sustained and stable development of China-Nicaragua relations. Ma also briefed the guests on the campaign to establish and practice a correct view on governance performance.

Rueda spoke highly of the fruitful outcomes of cooperation across various fields in the nearly five years since the two countries resumed diplomatic relations, reaffirmed Nicaragua’s firm commitment to the one-China principle, and expressed active support for the vision of building a community with a shared future for humanity and the four major global initiatives put forward by President Xi Jinping. The FSLN stands ready to strengthen exchanges of experience on state governance and administration with the CPC, guide respective work with a correct view on governance performance, enhance governance capacity, and promote the development of Nicaragua-China relations.
