Nay Pyi Taw, November 6th—Song Tao, Minister of the International Department of the CPC Central Committee, met here today with U Kyaw Tint Swe, Minister for the Office of the State Counsellor of Myanmar.

Song said that as China and Myanmar are friendly neighboring countries, the development of China-Myanmar friendship conforms to the common interests of the two peoples. China supports the peace process as well as economic and social development of Myanmar. China is willing to expand and deepen mutually beneficial cooperation between the two countries, and promote the construction of China-Myanmar Economic Corridor, so as to benefit the two peoples.

U Kyaw Tint Swe said that Myanmar attaches great importance and is devoted to deepening Myanmar-China relations. Myanmar thanks China for its long-term support and assistance, and looks forward to further strengthening bilateral cooperation under the Belt and Road Initiative, in a bid to promote the further development of Myanmar-China relations.
