Liu Jianchao Visits Primorsky Krai Regional Branch of the United Russia Party, Exchanges Views with Members of State Duma

Vladivostok, June 18th—Liu Jianchao, Minister of the International Department of the CPC Central Committee, visited the Primorsky Krai Regional Branch of the United Russia Party and exchanged ideas with Party members. Aleksandr Shcherbakov, Member of State Duma, Alena Arshinova, Vice President of the Presidium of the General Council of the United Russia Party, Abdulkhalimovich Tekiyev, Deputy Chairman of the Legislative Assembly of Primorsky Krai, and others were present.  


Liu said, China and Russia have set an example of good neighborly friendship in the world. The political guidance of the two heads of state has provided solid guarantee for the high-level development of China-Russia relations. The CPC has maintained friendly exchanges with the United Russia Party, which provides important support for the development of China-Russia relations. The year 2024 is the year of Party organizations at the primary level of the United Russia Party. The CPC is willing to strengthen exchanges and mutual learning with the United Russia Party on party building at the primary level, constantly improve each other’s governance capacities and level, and serve the development of respective countries.  

The Russian side introduced the work of Primorsky Krai Regional Branch of the United Russia Party, expressing the willingness to enhance exchanges of experience in state governance and administration with the CPC, actively promote exchanges of legislatures of the two countries and facilitate the development of China-Russia relations.  


On the same day, Liu visited the Commercial Port of Vladivostok (CPV). Nikolay Yermolayev, managing director of CPV briefed on the port’s operation, saying that the port has close trade ties with the Chinese side and is willing to strengthen cooperation with Chinese ports. Liu expressed the hope that the CPV could earnestly implement important consensus reached by leaders of China and Russia, promoting trade between two countries.
