Islamabad, June 20th—Liu Jianchao, Minister of the International Department of the CPC Central Committee, held discussions here today with representatives of all sectors of Pakistan. The two sides had an in-depth exchange of views on China-Pakistan relations as well as international and regional issues of common concern.  

The two sides believed that China and Pakistan, two all-weather strategic cooperative partners, share an unbreakable friendship. The two sides should jointly implement the important consensus reached by President Xi Jinping and Prime Minister Muhammad Shehbaz Sharif, firmly support each other on issues involving each other's core interests and major concerns, strengthen exchanges between political parties, and deepen exchanges and mutual learning of experience in state governance and administration. Both sides should expand academic, strategic and people-to-people exchanges, and enhance mutual understanding and trust. Efforts must be done to strengthen media cooperation to effectively respond to rumors and misinformation about China-Pakistan relations, and to create a sound public opinion environment for China-Pakistan friendship. Both sides must pursue high-quality development of the China-Pakistan Economic Corridor, and deepen practical cooperation in various fields. Moreover, the two countries should strengthen multilateral coordination, implement the three major global initiatives together, and jointly maintain peace, stability, development and prosperity of the region and the world.
