Beijing, December 4th—Liu Jianchao, Minister of the International Department of the CPC Central Committee (IDCPC), met here today with a delegation led by Susan Elliott, President and Chief Executive Officer of the National Committee on American Foreign Policy (NCAFP) of the United States (US). Both sides agreed that a stable, positive and constructive China-US relationship is in line with the common interests of the two countries and the expectations of the international community. China and the US should continue to promote communication and dialogue at all levels, enhance mutual understanding, and strive to achieve stable development of bilateral relations.

The two sides also exchanged views on international and regional issues of common concern.
