Beijing, January 13th—Liu Jianchao, Minister of the International Department of the CPC Central Committee (IDCPC), met here today with a delegation led by Fidel Antonio Moreno Briones, Secretary General of the Managua Mayor’s Office and Organization Secretary of the Sandinista National Liberation Front (FSLN) of Nicaragua. 

Liu said, under the strategic guidance and personal promotion of President Xi Jinping and President Daniel Ortega, China and Nicaragua have made strong development in bilateral relations, and officially established a strategic partnership in 2023, continuously releasing the dividends of the resumption of diplomatic relations. China appreciates Nicaragua's adherence to the one-China principle and is willing to work with Nicaragua to implement the important consensus reached by the two heads of state, deepen political mutual trust, continue to firmly support each other on issues involving respective core interests and major concerns, promote practical cooperation in various fields, and jointly create a model of mutual support and common development between countries of different sizes and national conditions. 

Liu introduced the CPC's development history and governance experience. He said, despite different scales, the CPC and the FSLN have always treated each other as equals and respected each other. The two parties have similar experiences and shared concepts in fighting against imperialism, colonialism and hegemony. The CPC is willing to strengthen high-level exchanges and political dialogues with the FSLN, deepen exchanges and mutual learning of experience in state governance and administration, promote pragmatic cooperation through the "political party +" channel, strengthen exchanges in youth, women, humanities and other fields, and reinforce unity and cooperation in international and regional affairs. 

Moreno said, since the resumption of diplomatic relations between the two countries, especially since the two heads of state jointly announced the establishment of the Nicaragua-China strategic partnership in 2023, fruitful results have been yielded in practical cooperation in various fields, bringing tangible benefits to the Nicaraguan people. The delivery and operation of buses produced in China have boosted the development of Nicaragua's public transportation system. Nicaragua is willing to continue to strengthen practical cooperation with China in economy, trade, transportation, humanities and other fields. The world today is moving towards multi-polarization. Nicaragua attaches importance to China's important role in international affairs, firmly adheres to the one-China principle, and supports the concept of a community with a shared future for mankind and the three major global initiatives proposed by President Xi Jinping. The CPC, a century-old party, has led the Chinese people to achieve great achievements in poverty alleviation, environmental protection and economic development, providing important inspiration and reference for the FSLN. The FSLN is willing to strengthen exchanges and cooperation with the CPC in areas such as poverty alleviation, cadre training, and media to promote the continuous development of relations between the two parties and the two countries.
