Jakarta, January 17th—The inauguration ceremony of the “light up the future” Central Kitchen Equipment Project donated by China to Indonesia was held at the headquarters of the Great Indonesia Movement Party. Liu Jianchao, Minister of the International Department of the CPC Central Committee, and Ahmad Muzani, Secretary General of the Great Indonesia Movement Party and Chairman of the People’s Consultative Assembly of Indonesia, attended the ceremony and delivered speeches. Wang Lutong, Chinese Ambassador to Indonesia, Djauhari Oratmangun, Indonesian Ambassador to China, Irawan Ronodipuro, Director of Foreign Relations of the Central Committee of the Great Indonesia Movement Party, Adnan Taufiq, Head of Indonesian Child Nutrition Fighters Foundation (Yayasan Pejuang Gizi Anak), as well as party members and cadres of the Great Indonesia Movement Party and media representatives attended the ceremony.
Liu expressed that ensuring enough food, good food as well as healthy and robust growth of children is the dream of every country and every family, and also the unremitting pursuit of every political party and every government. President Prabowo Subianto’s proposal of the Free Nutritious Meal Program reflects his commitment to alleviating the people’s hardships and facing difficulties.
Liu said that China was once plagued by poverty and weakness. In the past, the Chinese people often worried about food and clothing, and the nutritional problems of children were a major concern. Under the leadership of the CPC, the Chinese people have achieved rapid development through decades of arduous efforts. People no longer need to worry about food and clothing. Children can also receive better education and enjoy the benefits brought by major livelihood projects such as the Nutrition Improvement Program for Rural Compulsory Education Students. General Secretary Xi Jinping emphasized that “A single flower does not make spring, while one hundred flowers in full blossom bring spring to the garden.” The Silk Road Link established by the International Department of the CPC Central Committee is precisely a platform to implement the spirit of a shared future. By carrying out cooperation on people’s livelihood in countries along the Silk Road, it helps local people lead a happier life.
Liu stated that the central kitchen of “light up the future”, which the Chinese side jointly built with the Great Indonesia Movement Party through the Silk Road Link, is in line with the essence of a community with a shared future for the two countries. The kitchen may not be large, but our aspirations are grand. We hope to light up the future of the Indonesian children with this assistance. By providing support and help within capacity, the Chinese side aims to facilitate the smooth implementation of Indonesia’s economic and people's livelihood plans. It is hoped that through joint efforts, the Chinese Dream and the Indonesian Dream will shine brightly together, illuminating the shared and promising future.
Muzani said that President Prabowo has made poverty alleviation a top priority in his governance agenda. The Free Nutritious Meal Program is a key project that he personally proposed and strongly promoted. He thanked China for providing strong support. The central kitchen will help improve the nutritional status of the Indonesian children. The CPC has a long history and rich governance experience. The Great Indonesia Movement Party is willing to learn from the CPC’s experience in poverty alleviation and other aspects, so as to better govern the country and improve the living standards of the people.
At the inauguration ceremony, Liu, Muzani and others cut the ribbon for the project. After the ceremony, Liu visited the central kitchen, and Muzani introduced the relevant information about the project.
The “light up the future” Central Kitchen Equipment Project is a project jointly carried out by the International Department of the CPC Central Committee and the Great Indonesia Movement Party through the “Silk Road Workshop” platform.
