Liu Jianchao Meets with a Delegation of the Democratic Party of Mongolia

Beijing, March 24th—Liu Jianchao, Minister of the International Department of the CPC Central Committee (IDCPC), met here today with a delegation led by Nayantai Ganibal, Secretary General of the Democratic Party (DP) of Mongolia.  


Liu said in recent years, under the strategic guidance of President Xi Jinping and President Ukhnaa Khurelsukh, China and Mongolia have made steady and sound development in the bilateral comprehensive strategic partnership and maintained close exchanges and cooperation at all levels and in all fields. The Chinese side regards Mongolia as a partner on the road to modernization and is willing to work with the Mongolian side to further implement the important consensus reached by the two heads of state, deepen the integration of development strategies, expand practical cooperation in various areas, and build bilateral relations into a model for maintaining peace and stability, promoting mutually beneficial cooperation, and achieving common prosperity. Regional peace and stability are crucial to the development and prosperity of China and Mongolia. The Chinese side is willing to intensify bilateral and multilateral coordination and cooperation with the Mongolian side, and jointly maintain the hard-won peaceful environment in Northeast Asia.    

Liu said, political party exchanges are of great significance to enhancing mutual understanding between the two peoples. The CPC is willing to strengthen political dialogue with all Mongolian political parties, including the DP, deepen exchanges and mutual learning of experience in state governance and administration, strengthen youth and people-to-people exchanges, and enhance exchanges on international and regional affairs.  

Ganibal said, the people of Mongolia and China share a traditional friendship. As an important political force in Mongolia, the DP has always pursued a friendly policy toward China. It is willing to take the signing of the memorandum of exchange and cooperation between the two Parties as an opportunity to further deepen exchanges and cooperation with the CPC and continue to contribute to Mongolia-China relations. Mongolia and China are both important countries in Northeast Asia. The Mongolian side firmly pursues a peaceful foreign policy and is willing to work with the Chinese side to maintain regional peace and stability. 

After the meeting, the two sides jointly signed a memorandum of exchange and cooperation between the CPC and the DP. 

Zhao Shitong, Assistant-minister of the IDCPC, P. Galindev, Deputy Chairman of the DP, and Nyamaa Enkhbold, Mongolian Ambassador to China, were present.
