Beijing, October 16th—Liu Haixing, Minister of the International Department of the CPC Central Committee (IDCPC), met here today with Igor Morgulov, Russian Ambassador to China.
Liu said, under the strategic guidance of President Xi Jinping and President Vladimir Putin, China-Russia relations have set a prime example of relations between two major countries featuring everlasting good-neighborliness and friendship, comprehensive strategic coordination and mutually beneficial cooperation. The exchanges and cooperation between the political parties of China and Russia are a powerful practice of building a new type of inter-party relationship, which is of great significance for the two countries to achieve respective development and rejuvenation and promote profound changes in global governance. The CPC is willing to work with the major political parties of Russia to implement the important consensus reached by the two heads of state, carry out various forms of institutionalized exchanges and cooperation, and continuously contribute wisdom and strength of political parties to the development of China-Russia relations in the new era.
Morgulov congratulated Liu on assuming his new post and said, Russia highly values the role of inter-party exchanges and cooperation in promoting bilateral relations. The Russian Embassy in China is willing to maintain close cooperation with the IDCPC to promote closer communication and exchanges between the United Russia Party and other major political parties in the Russian parliament and the CPC, and to facilitate the smooth development of cooperation in various fields between the two countries.
