Liu Haixing Meets with Vebjoern Dysvik, Ambassador of Norway to China

Beijing, March 31stLiu Haixing, Minister of the International Department of the CPC Central Committee (IDCPC), met here today with Vebjoern Dysvik, Ambassador of Norway to China. 


Liu said, on the occasion of the 70th anniversary of the establishment of diplomatic relations between China and Norway in 2024, President Xi Jinping and Prime Minister Jonas Gahr Støre reached important consensus on building on carrying forward the past and creating a new glorious 70 years. Not long ago, Chinas Two Sessions reviewed and approved the outline of the 15th Five-Year Plan, which will bring more opportunities for mutually beneficial cooperation between the two countries. The CPC stands ready to further deepen exchanges on governance philosophy with major Norwegian political parties, promote youth exchanges, advance practical cooperation across various fields through the political party+platform, and promote the development of China-Norway relations and China-Europe relations. 

Dysvik said, despite the differences in history and culture between Norway and China, the two countries have close economic and trade ties. Both sides have been conducting dialogue and cooperation on the basis of mutual respect. Norway firmly adheres to the one-China policy. It is willing to enhance exchanges at all levels with China, communicate and coordinate on international and regional issues, deepen practical cooperation in areas such as economy and trade, green transition, and clean energy, and jointly respect international law and uphold multilateralism to address global challenges.
