Liu Haixing Meets with a Delegation of the Mongolian Democratic Party

Yan'an, September 10thLiu Haixing, Minister of the International Department of the CPC Central Committee, met here today with a delegation of the Democratic Party of Mongolia led by Odongiin Tsogtgerel, Chairman of the Democratic Party. 


Liu welcomed Tsogtgerel's visit to China and attendance at the thematic briefing "Stories of CPCAchievements of Shaanxi in Practicing Xi Jinping Thought on Socialism with Chinese Characteristics for a New Era." He said that President Xi Jinping held a meeting with President Ukhnaa Khurelsukh in Bishkek a few days ago, making top-level design for the future development of China-Mongolia relations. China stands ready to work with Mongolia to firmly grasp the right direction, uphold mutual respect for sovereignty, independence and territorial integrity, firmly support each other in safeguarding core interests, and jointly advance modernization. Liu briefed the delegation on the CPC's development over the past 105 years since its founding, noting that inter-party exchanges between China and Mongolia have grown increasingly close in recent years, with ever-richer substance of cooperation. The CPC is ready to work with the Democratic Party of Mongolia to maintain close exchanges at all levels, deepen exchanges and mutual learning on party governance and state governance, actively advance practical cooperation between the two countries, promote exchanges in such areas as locality, youth, women, media, think tank and civil society, strengthen multilateral coordination, and push for greater progress in China-Mongolia relations. 


Tsogtgerel said that China is a permanent neighbor of Mongolia. Developing relations with China is a priority of Mongolia's foreign policy. Mongolia appreciates the development goals for bilateral relations, including bilateral trade, proposed by the heads of state of the two countries, and stands ready to continue creating a favorable environment for Chinese enterprises to invest and operate in Mongolia. He thanked China for its valuable support in various fields. Congratulating the CPC again on its 105th anniversary, Tsogtgerel said the visit has deepened the Mongolian side's understanding of the CPC's development, philosophy and policies. The Democratic Party of Mongolia is ready to actively implement the memorandum of cooperation signed with the CPC, unswervingly adhere to the one-China principle, and promote stronger practical cooperation between the two countries to better benefit the two peoples.
