Beijing, May 2nd—Li Jun, Vice-minister of the International Department of the CPC Central Committee met here today on the afternoon with a delegation led by Daniel Martínez, leader of the Broad Front and Mayor of Uruguay’s capital Montevideo.

Li spoke positively about China-Uruguay relations and expressed that China is willing to take the 30th anniversary of the establishment of diplomatic relations between the two countries as an opportunity to well implement the consensus of the two heads of state and forge new growing points for the cooperation between the two countries, so as to push China-Uruguay strategic partnership to new highs.

Martínez expressed that the Broad Front admires the development achievements of China, and hopes to strengthen exchanges and cooperation between the two parties of all levels and learn from the CPC’s experience in state governance and administration, in a bid to push economy and society of Uruguay for constant and new progress.
