Beijing, May 10th—Li Jun, Vice-minister of the International Department of the CPC Central Committee, met here today on the morning with Luis Felipe Quesada Inchaustegui, newly-appointed Peruvian Ambassador to China.
Speaking positively of the relations and party-to-party exchanges between China and Peru, Li expressed that the CPC is willing to, together with the main ruling and opposition parties of Peru, further enhance exchanges and cooperation, and promote relations between both countries for constant and forward-looking development. Li also introduced the spirit of the 19th CPC National Congress.
Quesada expressed that Peru stands ready to actively participate in the “Belt and Road” construction, and make joint efforts with China to promote cooperation between the two countries in such fields as trade, investment and tourism, so as to constantly enrich the connotation of the comprehensively strategic partnership between both countries. The Peruvian Embassy in China stands ready to provide assistance for both countries to conduct exchanges between political parties.
