Beijing, November 7th—Qian Hongshan, Vice-minister of the International Department of the CPC Central Committee, met here today with Ettore Francesco Sequi, Italian Ambassador to China who is to leave his post.

Qian Hongshan spoke positively of China-Italy relations and the cooperation outcomes in various areas between the two countries. Qian said, the CPC is willing to strengthen exchanges with all friendly political parties in Italy, and boost the friendly China-Italy relations and the Belt and Road cooperation between the two countries.

Sequi expressed, the exchanges and friendly cooperation between Italy and China can be traced to ancient times. The Belt and Road Initiative is a major initiative that promotes cooperation and prosperity among various countries. Italy will actively carry out cooperation with China and make efforts for the stable and long-term Italy-China comprehensive strategic partnership.
