Beijing, November 18th—Li Mingxiang, Assistant-minister of the International Department of the CPC Central Committee, met here today with a delegation headed by Akosua Frema Osei-Opare, Chief of Staff Office of the President of Ghana.
Li conveyed warming greetings from Minister Song Tao and briefed on the spirit of the fourth plenary session of the 19th CPC Central Committee. He said, the CPC is willing to work with the New Patriotic Party (NPP), the ruling party in Ghana, to actively implement the important consensus reached by the two heads of state and enhance inter-party exchanges and cooperation, in a bid to promote bilateral relations to move forward.
Speaking positively of the great achievements the People's Republic of China has made in the 70 years since its founding and the great significance of the fourth plenary session of the 19th CPC Central Committee, Opare said that President Nana Addo Dankwa Akufo-Addo attaches great importance to relations with China. The NPP hopes to establish institutional exchanges with the CPC and learn the CPC’s experience in party governance and state administration, so as to promote mutually beneficial cooperation in various fields between the two countries.
