On the morning of June 2nd, Li Jun, Vice-minister of the International Department of the CPC Central Committee, had telephone conversation via video link with Yeidckol Polevnsky Gurwitz, General Secretary of the National Regeneration Movement (MORENA) of Mexico.

Li mainly briefed on China’s efforts in coordinating the regular COVID-19 response arrangements and economic and social development and in actively participating in international cooperation against the pandemic, and expressed the CPC’s readiness to enhance exchanges with the MORENA, give play to the political leading role of the two Parties, and work together to build a China-Latin America shared destiny of health.

Polevnsky expressed thanks to the Chinese side for sharing experience in epidemic containment and offering support and assistance to Mexico, and spoke highly of the remarkable achievements the Chinese people have made in epidemic prevention and resuming work and production under the leadership of the CPC. Strongly opposing stigmatizing the outbreak, Polevnsky underscored the MORENA’s readiness to continue to learn the CPC’s experience in state administration and party governance in an in-depth manner, so as to promote the relations between the MORENA and the CPC.
